Zimbabwe's President 'Mugabe' Accuses Nigerian Witch-doctors of Plotting His Death

Robert Mugabe, president of Zimbabwe has accused Nigerian witch doctors of plotting to kill him.

According to Africa Review, Mugabe made the claim during his 91st birthday celebration. He said that his former Vice President, Joice Mujuru and other top officials in his ruling Zanu-PF sought the services of Nigerian witchdoctors in a bid to kill him.

Mugabe said, ''We managed to know what (Ms) Mujuru was doing at her house, even consulting witchdoctors. Recently she invited two Nigerian witchdoctors. We heard that they were specialists in the field of witchcraft. They were specialists, yes, but specialists in robbing people, foolish people.

Mugabe said the Nigerians ordered Ms Mujuru to buy chickens that were named after herself, the President, his wife and Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He also claimed that the former Vice-President performed the rituals naked.

''Where do these Nigerians get the powers to entrap the soul of a human being into a chicken or sheep and then kill him? . God is for us all. I also go to church, I do not believe in superstition. We were taught God’s teachings'', Mugabe added.

Dream Team VI counter-blow Tunisia

The national men’s U-23 football team, Dream Team VI yesterday trounced their Tunisian counterparts 3-0 to avenge the 3-5 defeat they suffered in the hands of the Tunisians four days ago.
The game, which started on a very high temp saw coach Samson Siasia making four changes from the team that lost the first game, as new comers, Stanley Amuzie, Freedom Omofonma, Tonbara Tiongoli and Peter Onyekachi made their presence felt from the blast of the referee’s whistle.
Striker Onyekachi was a thorn in the flesh of the Tunisians putting them under so much pressure while Tonbara was a handful for the defense line of the opponents, but if these players were a marvel, the defense got more stability with the introduction of Stanley Amuzie who kept the Tunisian attackers at bay and was a force in attack.
In one of such moves, Peter Onyekachi was fouled in the 18 yard box of the Tunisians making the center referee to award a penalty which was converted by Oghenekaro Etebo in the 31st minute.
With the massive support from the few Nigerians led by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Joseph Omede and members of staff of the embassy at the El Menzah Stadium, the Dream Team VI took control of all departments of the game piling pressure but could not get any goal before the end of the first half.
On resumption of the second half, the Dream Team VI players continued from where they stopped in the first half as they pinned their opponents to their half of the field with mid field Marshall Azubuike Okechukwu combining well with Oghenekaro Etebo to put the Tunisians under so much pressure and in the 56th minute striker Peter Onyekachi made his presence felt as he punished the Tunisians with the second goal of the game.
Coach Siasia took out off form Freedom Omofoman and brought in Savior Godwin, this change galvanised the Nigerian attack resulting in the Tunisians conceding another penalty after one of their defenders had handled the ball from a pull out by Stanley Amuzie but the resultant kick was played over the bar by Etebo in the 70th minute.
This did not dampen the spirit of the Dream Team VI players as they continued to pile pressure and in the 87th minute Godwin Savior put the icing on the cake with the third goal after running down the defense line of the Tunisians to release a shot which the goalkeeper had to answer to.

Chadian Helicopters Drop Food, Weapons for Boko Haram Terrorists

Leadership newspaper recounts the story of Mohammed Sani, a vigilante leader for Monguno town in Borno state, which was recently attacked by the Bok Haram terrorists.

According to Sani, helicopters dropped arms and food items for the insurgents while they camped in a bush.

His account: “Even during the attack on Monguno, there was an aircraft that came but did not do anything, not even dropping a single bomb before it left; then another one later came around the Monguno barracks and we saw four men alighting from the aircraft, using a rope. The aircraft left, but we doubt if they were soldiers.

“Even before then, some of my colleagues and I have been sighting helicopters dropping items in sacks and some in boxes to them at the camp of Boko Haram near Chikungudu and Kwalaram villages. Many helicopters came to drop items packed in boxes and sacks to the Boko Haram insurgents at a bush camp between Monguno and Marte; then we would see the Boko Haram gunmen rushing to the spot to pick the dropped items."

Sani says the people manning the strange helicopters were foreigners:

“Many of them looked like Chadian Arabs – they were light-skinned with coiled hair, and there were many young men from Monguno – who Boko Haram had abducted when Nganzai was attacked last year – that were now active members of the sect.

“While Boko Haram members that are former youths of Monguno were leading other insurgents to attack Monguno town, the foreigners were the ones engaging soldiers near the barracks."

LIL WAYNE SUES HIS FATHER, BIRDMAN FOR $51 MILLION

Lil Wayne is taking Birdman to court. The Young Money rapper has officially filed a lawsuit asking a judge to release him from Cash Money Records.
According to TMZ, Wayne claims Birdman violated the terms of their deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars Cash Money owes him for his oft-delayed album Tha Carter V.
Since Cash Money is refusing to pay, Wayne says he’s entitled to cancel the contract.
Not only does Weezy want his freedom, he’s also suing for a whopping $51 million.
Wayne wants the judge to give him joint copyright ownership of all Young Money recordings including those of Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and more. He plans to take his artists with him off Cash Money.
However, if Birdman pays, Wayne’s camp will allow Cash Money to release Tha Carter V. Wayne was supposed to get an $8 million advance when he started recording in December 2013 and another $2 million when he completed the album a year later, but so far he’s received nothing.

Boko Haram Opens Twitter page

According to Daily Trust, the Jama'atu AhlisSunna Lidda'awati Waljahad group, infamously known as Boko Haram has launched a new frontier in their multifaceted attack points: social media, with Twitter becoming their latest platform for winning people over to their side.

If the reports are to be believed, Alurwa Alwuthqa is the mouthpiece of the group, and he announced the sect's capture of Monguno and shared photos of child soldiers being trained by the sect.

The account began tweeting on January 18th (first message being something about Baga) and has amassed over 3,000 followers already.

The account also has a video interview with Abu Mus'ab Albarnawi, who says he is the spokesman of the group. The video had the faces of both interviewer and interviewee blurred out.

Nigeria's Defence HQ is yet to comment on this.

Cristiano Ronaldo handed two-game ban

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a two-game suspension following his red card in the 2-1 win over Cordoba at the weekend.

The prolific attacker lost his temper in the closing stages of the game after failing to make an impact, kicking out and raising a hand to strike Cordoba defender Edimar in the face, leaving referee Alejandro Hernandez no other choice but to dismiss him.

Ronaldo was quick to apologise after the incident, while Edimar called for La Liga's disciplinary committee to show leniency, and the Portugal captain has escaped a lengthy ban.

The 29-year-old will miss the Primera Division games against Real Sociedad and Sevilla as a result of his suspension.

Ronaldo has been in sublime form for Madrid in 2014-15, netting 36 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.

The former Manchester United star's absence means Ancelotti could turn to promising youngster Jese Rodriguez, who recently made his comeback after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.
